In advocacy, you receive support from another person in order to express your thoughts and wishes and to ensure that your rights are protected.The person who assists you in this manner is known as your advocate. A well-defined definition of advocacy involves influencing public policy and social change on behalf of individuals, organizations, or causes. A variety of forms of advocacy may be used, including public campaigns, grassroots organizing, and legal action. Through its influence on public opinion, legislation, and advocacy for marginalized communities, it plays a significant role in shaping public opinion.
